darkness you can find in your yoga practice: the psychology of you
Are you scared to face something within yourself? Do you sometimes feel that time is against you or that you cannot fulfill your wishes because of your fears?
You know that the answers are in your dark sides that you probably refuse to see. Did you know that yoga has the potential to be the place to confront what’s most deep inside you? This means, however, that you have the power to confront your darkest side of you in your yoga practice.
It’s a place only for the bold, that is for sure… But ask yourself,
“what are you scared of?”
It is true that we hide our darkest parts deep within our bodies. The best parts stay locked up in our joints and tightest places: hips, necks, shoulders, backs, and even feet. When moving through yoga with deep breath, these gems–these secrets–can become free…
Seriously.
Unlocked, their messages trace through our blood as the prana moves relentlessly through us in a vibrant yoga practice. It is the best kept secret.
As these parts of you move through you, and you encounter your difficulties, you can embrace them as gifts. To visit them and set them free, is truly a gift. An angel.
If you do not, these dark secrets stay below (inside your underworld), unconsciously controlling you. They cause you to repeat ugly patterns as “a fly mindlessly beating itself to a pulp bumping against a window through which it cannot pass…attempting to escape its misery,” as put by Absolute Palaver.
Don’t be scared. You have the power. It is you that you are unlocking. The true you.
Namaste.

stand still now, precious moment
always dreaming of another way to wrestle with time…
to see my path through the hourglass of dreaming,
of moments that spiral without reason to nowhere specific
except the path
that is meant for me…
are you lost now in nothingness?
i thought you said you trust
the stepping stones you feel
with your barefeet, eyes closed.
you know that time hides behind thorns sometimes…
yet, i thrive
and live with its heartbeat
that never stops to lead its way.
stand still now, precious moment
you pierce me
lead me now to forever

the key of life
(a new treat…written by my daughter
there is something out there
always something
looking for you
never expecting
it to be real
the key
of your life…
it rarely jingles on a chain
but in the cells
of who you are
passed down to you
through generations
for a reason
you find out over time.
find the hallway
hidden
in your heart,
look for the door
that fits your key.
how will you know when you have found it?
it will whisper to you
and don’t worry, you will hear it…

timeless
words
the mystery they speak
bridging
one heart to another
timelessly
growing with age
creating a touch
that floats to you
in a mist
reaching the same space
touching you
there, on the edge
where you lie

he wants
he barely scratches the surface when he knows
that he wants her
to take something from him
just what… is elusive
but does it matter to you?
take the last bit
maybe more
it is the least i can offer
to you
for, in this moment
this unique instant…
my heart beats against the wind

a broken heart
a smile can speak a thousand words
but it cannot calm a broken heart.
how do you talk to a heart
and tell it to live in the moment
to tell it it’s been broken for a reason?
it has no reasoning
only feeling…
how, after convincing it to open wide
to give itself to another
again going to a vulnerable place
this time because it’s safe
because the other expresses heart and soul,
how do you convince a heart
that its message is received, appreciated with love
but that demons have eaten it
because it was perfect exactly as it was?
how do you tell a heart that it’s ok
to stay open and surrender
when it can think of nothing else
but the last time you told it this
answering its prayers?
how do you tell it that
its karma was shared with another
so you did it no harm
trust me this time and surrender
sent to me from the stars
just your heart in exchange for mine
your soul for mine
to be a colony in which to become each other?
a heart is a star
but it can’t shine when it’s broken
broken because love brings up its brokenness
surrender…
because it’s unknown how long it will take
to heal, if ever.
yet all a heart asks is
why do you walk away from something beautiful?
it does what you say though
and surrenders again…
feeling itself in everything
for guidance
but still it all tells it the same,
that the heart it opened for
is still open
just hidden underneath
and that it should hang on.

colors
of
what could be

are not.

your face
why aren’t they?
i ask
what keeps you
from
being you?

angel
you are an angel
who crossed my path
like dreams
which always
send us the messages
we are afraid to feel
it’s time to move on
be you
believe in magic
you don’t need to stay lost
in a place you do not recognize
take my hand
and follow me

inspired by an angel
touched
you can touch me if you try
right now
i might melt but won’t disappear
like a ghost
leaving you with only your breath
my blood rises now..
maybe timid
because your touch, if true
can penetrate
the energy of it
speaking…
in the only way it knows how
fingers reaching out
without words
touch me again

your internal dialogs: learning by talking to yourself
Do you often speak internally to another person as if you have direct access to each other’s thoughts? Are you fueled by the language that speaks to you inside your mind? Is this dialog a way for you to make things right simply within your mind with certain people?
It is easy to speak the secrets of your soul when you speak to yourself. First, your heart needs to be open so that you are able to feel the truth of what you really feel.
You have a story to tell. You can read it, listen to it, and live in it as you would your favorite book.
You have many channels to your heart. The trick is to find yours–the ones that undeniably open every time.
Find the universal presence, spirit or love that resonates most with you and feel it hold you like a warm blanket. Then speak to it. Let it tell you, as a mirror, what you have to say.
You might hear questions such as “Why are you mad at me?” , “What did I do wrong?” and “Why do you love me?”
If you visit your child self, you might find a version of you looking back as if she/he has known you all your life (it’s true), asking you if you ever pay attention to her/him? She/He might whisper a secret to you that you have never heard.
You are not crazy. You have a lot to say. Just listen with open ears. Be still and silent… and the messages are more clear.
Listen to what your internal dialogs tell you. You could discover the unknown you’ve been search for all your life inside you. It could change your life…

until i wake
you haunt me
surreal are
the images of you
in the mist
where time does not exist
you are a secret
which lies beneath the reason
i’m scared to tell
i am me now and everything in between
not the you i once was
still, i ask you
stay with me until i wake

i could see the sparkle
in your eye turn into a tear..
a river of sadness…
in that moment
i knew you loved me

i’ll let you into me
you see me
you see into me
you sit with me
and feel into me
you know i look to you
to see myself

and in you
i see
a place that needs to heal
i see yearning
and a need to bond
with another
who can feel deeply
into you
someone who gives
all of herself, not part
when she feels
i’ll let you into me
when i feel you
looking into me
knowing me
breathing me

lost
you don’t want
to get lost
in me.
to cross the line
to where i am
is the point of no return
tangled up in me
with no way home.
still..
you feel me
deep inside

the air between
you
have no
idea what you
are doing to me now
inside… how you watch me
with your future eyes that penetrate
the air between us… i realize that i describe
a moment that hasn’t happened yet
but still, somehow i find
myself inside
you
..

a silent observer
i am a silent observer
of you..
when you least expect it
you will feel someone

it is as true that i have you
don’t startle
with fear
of losing
to change…
it is as true that i have you as the ocean has the wave
even though a spark
, like lightning
can shock me to know
you are not
who i thought…
as a moment witnessed
tells a secret.
and now
aloof to the subtle
you wonder who
these words are for now
without seeing that
i
am a mere mystery drawn to
attract the precious inside…
