forgetting

20120103-133419.jpg

what is it
to forget?

a distant dream
gone by
known by only
a whisp
an ache that pulls
its way back
keeps trying
but cannot stick

or is it
a wish to
know nothing
feel nothing
be nothing
so that the pressure
to be more
absolves

even though
it forgets
it remembers still

i remember

beautiful one

come to me in a dream from far away, through smoky eyes or darkened skies.  fly…

do i describe a land or courage that only i know?

the river is near to take us
with few words it speaks clearly…

i felt you watch me as i slept. i reached my arms out
did you feel them?

you are listening… say something to me, beautiful one

existing

the mere fact
that i existed
seemed to
drive your heart
and give you courage
to travel
an ocean of time to find me
just to touch me
just to breathe my breath
once
