when the shadows
pass by
the cracks
of life
…the ones that tell the stories you forget…
can i be your wings?

fly
to the place
where you are me
where you can be sure that
when you cry
i am there
with you
and will let your tears
seep into
my skin
you are precious
just the way you are
like no other
never forget…
i see you

be the lightning in me
that strikes relentless
wings outstretched
you speak to me
but what if i never see you
again as you are now
yet you have all-seeing ability
like a prophecy
i ride you now
like the wind and sun
the place in which we started
we continue
la façon dont nous avons commence
avons continuons
malgré tout,
tu as toujours aimé moi

We go to yoga class. We start the class by making an intention. Then what?
Do we hold true to its energy every second of the class? No. We tuck it away in our heart and let it speak its own words to our soul.
For, the energy of a wish comes from within us and can hardly hide its wings when we are moving the prana as we move our bodies in twists and waves.
What we feel comes from within. Before the words even articulate themselves to our being, we know what it is we are trying to say.
Sometimes we are silenced. Sometimes this is a blessing. In this inability to find words, our soul is telling us to go deeper. Look into the still pond of your being. Do not always rely on words. Look to the swirling space that doesn’t want to hear your words and give it your thanks.
There is more to living.
Namaste.

on the wings of time
you are
floating as if effortlessly
yet with unknowable strength
i don’t know how
but i’m headed there now
to see you
in the moment
you saved
for me

to disconnect from you
my heart stops a little
as if a part of me given… yet unreceived
and i leave myself behind
to watch with no voice
looking back as if a dream.
then you flap your wings
and come to me
no time passed
and you remind me
we are both sharing the same wind
i am resting, maybe sleeping
always feeling
the force that moves between us
and through things
held together
only by air.

through the vines
connecting my blood to infinity
i move so that i can water
your roots.
they reach out to me so…
each with its own strength, its own sound
its own breath, its own life
yet moving together as one.
i find you
where you are raw
not dark
but vulnerable
needing to be held
to feel safe
my breath, my attention
to your every need
your every call for touch
to be an open room
for you to pour your soul into.
you ask that of me
and i hear you.
your warmth has the power to soothe
and pierce me
to puncture the balloon
where i keep my secrets
can you feel it now?
as a bit seeps out
released in the air, to the open
to find its way
no longer trapped, no longer secret.
a veil between you and me
its thin yet it covers
that which we need to protect
until time opens its wings for our flight.
