you can try to fool me
fool me not
but maybe at morning
as the day begins to remind me
that day can be night if i let it
or i can move backwards
through time
deceptions as distractions
flowing through my brain
when it believes that maybe chaos does rule the world
try me, try to fool me, maybe once…
and then maybe, i’ll go to the other leftside of the moon later

“…deceptions as distractions

I’ve had those thoughts…love this poem especially the last stanza.
I like that very much. Wonderfully playful piece about those special moments that linger on the precipice of waking. Thanks for sharing it!
yes, that’s another way to see it. thanks for that introspection…
Very nice read.
glad you stopped by
This is simply amazing loved it
it’s awesome to be fooled 😉
Really enjoyed it, thought the additional 2 end lines after the stream-like, down the page writing, was a wonderful cap. And the pause amplified the effect it had, at least for me anyhow Thanks for sharing:)
you’re welcome.. pauses can be so powerful, almost more so than words. glad to hear your comments…
try to fool me… love this repeated line
for me this piece has a whispering tone
sorta wicked in a good way tho… nicely done
i wrote it to be for april fool’s day but now it’s become one of my favorites in general 😉
